So, I work for an awesome photography company doing newborn photos for a local hospital. It’s a fantastic company and I get to work with babies all day. What’s not to love? In fact this company is so awesome that they do this thing where if you need a new lens for your camera, they will buy the lens for you and let you pay them back by deducting a small amount from your check until you pay it off. Since lenses can be expensive, especially if you don’t really have a lot of money anyway, this was the best news I’d heard in forever. And I needed a new lens. Working with a zoom lens just wasn’t cutting it. So I got a new one. A Nikkor 50mm f1.4 to be exact. If you’re not photographically inclined, this means nothing to you, but just know, it is pretty freaking awesome. Plus blurs the background like nobody’s business, which is great for portraits. Here are some photos of the little one I did the night it came in.

f1.4…so so jealous! I bet it’s crazy fun to play with!!
Oh it so is!
